Our Story
My name's Sam and I founded Liberty Bullion because I believe the precious metals of Gold, Silver and Platinum will be the best asset to be in for the next 5 to 10 years. It's where I've put all of my wealth and I wanted to enable Australians to do the same.
You deserve a Gold, Silver and Platinum provider who offers trust, security and convenience for a fair price. They're the values on why Liberty Bullion was founded.
What a time to be alive!

Getting Started
We get it, starting any investment journey can feel overwhelming at first. There's a lot of noise, conflicting opinions and family members around the dinner table telling you you're making the wrong decision.
That's why we've put together a simple, practical guide to walk you through our three-step decision-making process when it comes to investing in precious metals.
Got Questions?
The price you pay for physical bullion includes more than just the spot price of the metal. It also covers manufacturing costs (minting/refining), shipping and insurance, dealer margins, and in some cases, premiums for specific designs or limited mintages. Bars typically carry lower premiums than coins, and larger weights generally have lower percentage premiums than smaller denominations.
Bars are typically manufactured by private refineries and focus purely on metal content, making them generally more cost-effective for larger investments. Coins are government-issued legal tender with more intricate designs and often carry higher premiums due to collectability. For pure investment purposes, bars usually offer better value, while coins can provide additional numismatic value and easier divisibility when selling smaller amounts.
We buy back bullion both in-store and via post. However, we strongly recommend selling in-store whenever possible. The price we pay is based on the spot price at the moment your bullion reaches our desk, not when you post it. So in-store transactions eliminate the risk of price fluctuations during transit and provide immediate settlement.
For the best balance of purchase cost and resale value, we recommend 1kg silver bars, 1oz gold bars/coins, and 1oz platinum bars/coins. These products carry the lowest premiums when purchasing and we pay 100% of spot price when buying them back (along with smaller denominations). Smaller sizes carry higher percentage premiums, while larger bars may receive lower buy-back percentages.
Investment-grade gold, silver, and platinum bullion is GST-free in Australia. This applies to bars and coins purchased for investment purposes. Collectible coins, jewellery, and some numismatic items may attract GST. While statues do attract GST. We clearly indicate GST status on all products and invoices.
