Adams Bullion is a Melbourne based bullion dealer offering both buying and selling services for investment grade gold, silver or platinum coins or bars. We provide our customers both with the ability to protect their wealth through buying bullion with us, and the ability to quickly raise funds when selling to us.

Adams Bullion offers a range of gold, silver and platinum coins and bars, both from local refineries in Melbourne and from mints across the world.

Customers can place orders with Adams Bullion by coming into our showroom, or either through our website, via email or over the phone. This allows our customers to be able to place an order 24/7 through our website and to be able to speak to an Adams Bullion staff member if needed.

Customers can place an order for as little or as much as they would like. Having said that there are considerations to be made for smaller orders. The cost of shipping should be considered when determining whether the order size is worthwhile.

Once payment for your order has been received in full, it will be processed and sent out to you as quickly as possible. A tracking number will be sent to you once the package has been collected by the courier. Delivery times may be delayed for large orders.

Adams Bullion has an XRF machine that is used to test the quality of all buyback items, as well as to periodically test new items from refineries and wholesalers.

When purchasing physical bullion products, you will always pay more than the current “spot price” of the metal you are buying, the question is how much. This difference in prices is called the “premium” and varies from product to product, this is how bullion dealers like us, wholesalers and mints make their money.

Adams Bullion will pay you more for coins than bars when selling to us. For bars we will pay you 98% of spot price, for coins we will pay you the full spot price. We do not pay more or less for different brands of coins or bars, however they may be worth more on the secondary market when selling to private investors.

Selling

Our Buyback service allows you to sell your precious metals to Adams Bullion. We offer competitive rates and a secure, straightforward process for selling your gold, silver or platinum bullion.

You can get a quote by contacting us online or by phone. We will provide you with a competitive offer based on the current market rates for your physical bullion.

We accept payments via bank transfer or cash for in-person transactions. Please note that cash payments are only available for transactions up to $5,000.

You can either deliver your precious metals to our Melbourne showroom or securely ship it to us. Make sure your physical bullion is in good condition for accurate pricing and processing.

Once your physical bullion is received and tested, we process payments promptly. You will receive your funds as quickly as possible following the completion of the verification process.

Yes, prices may fluctuate based on market conditions. We will confirm the final rate before processing your payment to ensure you receive the best possible value.

Yes, you can track your shipment if you choose to send your physical bullion to us via postal service. We provide instructions on how to securely send your bullion and ensure it arrives safely.

Payments

Payment should be made as soon as possible after the order is placed, we require payment to clear into our account within 2 business days of confirming your order with us, via one of our accepted payment methods. See payments methods page here for further information.

We accept payment by bank transfer or cash. We do not accept: • cheques (irrespective of personal or bank cheques); • credit card; • debit card; • payments from PayPal.

Yes, but if you cancel your order, you will be subject to our market loss policy. This policy states you will be liable for any difference between the value based on the spot price of the physical bullion at the time of placing the order and the value at the time of cancellation (i.e., the market loss). Any market gains will be forfeited. You may also be charged a cancellation fee. Failure to pay up the market loss will result in the amount owed being sent for collection.

Identification

Adams Bullion will ask you to provide a government issued photo identification (Driver’s Licence, passport, etc) in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006 when you purchase $AUD 5,000 or more per day. Adams Bullion staff will ask to sight I.D when you collect an order, as an added measure of security for your purchase. We require photo identification for all buybacks from customers, regardless of dollar amount. Your personal information is required to purchase from the website. Your account details must match your identification details, as deliveries and collections will require your signature.

You can email a certified copy of a valid form of identification to sales@adamsbullion.com For additional security, we do not accept photocopies of certified identification. You will also be required to show your ID when collecting your order. The name on the ID must match the name on the order.

Shipping & Insurance

Shipping prices are calculated based on the weight of the order and the delivery address. The price is inclusive of insurance.

Yes, all packages are insured. Packages must be signed for on delivery.

We process orders as quickly as possible. You should receive your order within 3-5 business days for deliveries within Australia. Please allow extra time for international deliveries. There may be delays when processing large orders, and we will contact you if this is the case.

Adams Bullion will send you tracking information once your order has been dispatched. All packages must be signed for on delivery.

Yes, we offer a collection service for orders placed online. You will need to provide your order number and valid photo identification when collecting your order.
